Interim Committee was set up. Courses in the subj cts named in this announcement are now being given, and I might add that the Vice Chancellor is himself en route to Hong Kong, and that the majority of those members of

the staff who have not retired are already working in the Colony.

Colonel Stanley's correspondent can be assured that the importance of the University, particularly in connection with our relations with the Chinese, is very fully appreciated both here and in Hong Kong.
